Being a network marketer can look pretty darn attractive on the company presentation, but it often isn’t all sunshine and rainbows when you get right into it….especially when you are starting out. I just finished listening to “Crush It” by Gary Vaynerchuk. I’m always looking for great new info to feed my brain, and with Gary speaking at No Excuses Summit 4 in May adding “Crush It” to my list of books to read…was a no brainer. Gary talks about cashing in on your passion, and it got me thinking. How many people are excited and passionate about being a network marketer? Let’s face it….everyone would like more money. Everyone would like time freedom and the ability to live life on their own terms. Sure….that stuff is exciting, but network marketing is certainly not the only way to achieve financial freedom. So I’ll ask you what I just asked myself….are you excited to be a network marketer.
Am I Excited About Being A Network Marketer
So do you want to know my answer? Ok I’ll tell you….yes…I am super excited about being a network marketer, but the answer isn’t exactly cut and dry. I reflected on how I’ve felt in the past…times I may not have been quite as passionate. Sure it’s easy to love network marketing when it has
improved my lifestyle dramatically, and I am fortunate enough to be able to effect other peoples’ lives in a positive way, but what about when it wasn’t that way. I watch so many network marketers lose steam.. lose that passion….that charge. Quite frankly without it you can’t succeed. So how was it that I kept going….how did I manage to keep the flame lit. I wrote this article to help you light that very necessary fire, and push forward relentlessly towards network marketing success.
4 Ways To Excite The Network Marketer Within
- Be part of the community. Hands down nothing will get you or a member of your network marketing team fired up like going to a live event. Getting around other network marketing professionals, and vibing on the company message offers a quick reminder of why you got started in the first place. On a weekly basis this can be done by getting on team calls, attending local events, and engaging in team groups on social media.
- Revisit your goals and dreams. Money and time freedom just don’t cut it. Make a dream board…write down big goals! Take a minute everyday….close your eyes and go to that place, and if you don’t know what that place is….what it looks like, feels like, who is with you….then how can you get excited about it. You can’t! Define what you want….and I mean exactly what you want.
- Help and network for the right reasons. I’ve heard it said that if you don’t truly believe that your product or opportunity can help people…you certainly can’t successfully sell it. So assuming being a network marketer puts you in a position to help people get out there and do it….not for the money…not for the sale…but for them. Doing good by others can relight a fire and reconnect you with the fact that network marketing can be a vehicle for you to have an impact on others.
- Commit to personal growth. Often times people are looking for change, and may not be the best them at that moment. I for one was in a less than stellar mental state when I started my journey. For this reason my personal growth was always something that got me excited about what I was doing. Focusing less on my lack of results and more on my growth as a person kept my excitement levels high, and it can do the same for you.
If you haven’t been quite as excited as you should be about being a network marketer it’s OK. But you can and must change that if you want to succeed. Immerse yourself in the industry and in your missions and find the passion to push you through the tough times. Not a day goes by when someone doesn’t tell me they MUST make this happen….that success is the only option. In fact I believe the network marketing industry is one of the easiest places to give up. With little skin in the game and an unlimited supply of rejection it doesn’t take long for “doubt” to cross enemy lines. Why is it that so many believe that success is their only option, but so few achieve it? It certainly isn’t a question that is easily answered, but I wanted to share my take on it in the video below.

If you’re involved in Network Marketing, there are certain techniques that are crucial to achieve MLM Success. If these elements are missing, you could end up like 95% of people who get minimal results.
First of all, being successful in you MLM doesn’t mean sweet talking people into joining something they don’t really want to be involved with and having them cancel 2 months later. It means actually having a target market and finding those who absolutely want what you have to offer.
In order to master influence you want to have a deeper impact with people. You always want to provide a solution to other people’s problems. If your product, service and team support meets those needs then you have a winning combination.
Think of it this way… If you were sitting in a doctor’s office and the doctor rushes in and says, “Boy have I got the remedy for you!” and whips out a needle and heads straight for your leg – you would freak out!
If the doctor didn’t take the time to hear your complaints, and ask the right questions on the front end, he wouldn’t really know what type of pain you are experiencing.
Doctors know they need to demonstrate a genuine interest as their role is the trusted advisor. The doctor needs to take the time to know that your pain stemmed from your elbow, not your knee. Once he determines your needs he can offer the best solution and ask you to take action immediately.
The same applies in network marketing. To achieve MLM Success you need to build a team of people who want what you have to offer and who are in it for the long run.

1) Create Short Term Goals for MLM Success
Having short term goals is especially important to keep you focused. If you only have one long term goal that you want to accomplish a year from now, you’ll think you have lots of time to reach your goal and may not produce. Short term goals keep your mind actively looking for the methods and strategies to get things done quickly.
Be sure to record your results because consistent actions produce consistent results. MLM Success is achieved when you take decisive and immediate action when you learn something new. You will have more freedom after you’ve built residual income.

You need to say ‘no’ by default, put your blinders on and keep focusing on your clearly defined purpose. When you avoid distractions you have less things competing for your attention. This creates more freedom and you will produce greater results.
High performance individuals learn to keep their focus. MLM Success happens when you focus on being productive not being busy. Stability releases ability, so exercise some discipline throughout your day and stay focused on your mission.
3) Focus on Revenue Producing Activities for MLM Success
Don’t keep a list of insignificant things to check off your ‘to do’ list. If you are constantly checking your email and facebook and cleaning your desk, you won’t get results. You need to actually connect with people for MLM Success!
Challenge yourself with goals you can get excited about… it may push you out of your comfort zone at first, but the things we are hesitant to do are often the things that will have the greatest impact on our success. Know what your mission is for the day, and work everything else around that.

The truth is….network marketing is a profession. It takes time and skill development to achieve success, and even more importantly it takes “belief.” Let’s face it a doctor believes he/she is going to be a successful doctor well before it ever happens….and quite frankly they pay a lot of money to get there. If there is one thing that people struggle with, but is absolutely essential to their success, it is MLM prospecting. I know because this was a struggle of mine, and now that I have the luxury of talking to new people every day I have come to some realizations that can certainly help you improve your prospecting results. One thing I have come to realize is that MLM prospecting is not about online or offline….. warm market or cold market…… high ticket or low ticket. And it is definitely not about company, product, or comp plan. MLM prospecting is about people. Understand this and things will start getting a lot easier.
Why Do So Many People Struggle With MLM Prospecting?
This could be a lengthily topic for another day, but I want to sum it up as best I can. Most people are so desperate to ge
t going, want so badly to sign up their first person that their focus is on the wrong thing. They are acting for personal gain, whether it is the money of the sale or the accomplishment of the recruit their MLM prospecting efforts are being made with their own fulfillment in mind. Listen, this is natural and it doesn’t make you bad. Heck there is nothing wrong with wanting to make money, or feel a sense of accomplishment, but when it comes to MLM prospecting it doesn’t work. Remember what I said…..this is about people…..think them not you!
Discovering A Why For Your Prospect!
We have all heard about the big “why” right? When you get started in MLM you are asked to discover this why, write it down, embrace it, use it to fuel your fire. This “why” power is great for motivation, for keeping you going, getting you through the tough times, the no’s, the rejection. A “why” is a powerful thing. For the sake of MLM prospecting we need to focus on a different “why.” Why is your home business a fit for this person, why is your product right for them, why should they take a look. Most try and answer these questions for their prospect by telling them how great their company or comp plan is, how wonderful the product is, how great they (the prospect) would be at this, how much money they are going to make etc.. Great MLM prospecting starts not with telling someone why but with asking the right questions to help you determine why, what you have is a good fit for you prospect.
MLM Prospecting Is About Asking Questions
I heard a great anal
ogy that really puts this in perspective. When you walk into a doctor’s office with an ailment does the doctor write you a prescription first? Of course not he has to diagnose the problem first. Does he just start rattling of a series of potential problems? No…..he starts asking questions. He identifies your problem, and then provides a solution. MLM prospecting is no different. Our goal is to identify the wants, needs, and desires of our prospect. This can only be done by asking questions. People want to be listened to and the best way to build rapport with you MLM prospect is to ask questions and listen.
When MLM Prospecting Ask For Permission
Once you know what your prospect’s wants, needs, and desires are it is easy to get them to commit to taking a look at your product or opportunity. Here’s an example. Your MLM prospect has told you that they are struggling financially because of a change on the job front, and all they want is to be able to keep their daughter in private school, but don’t know how they are going to do it. If you said “If I could share some information that may help you keep your daughter in private school would you be open to take a look?” How many people are going to say yes??? Almost all, because you have made it about them, because you have identified their problem and are offering a potential solution.

There is a lot of great MLM prospecting training in the market place, and if you are serious about succeeding in this business this is the first thing you should invest in. No matter how many leads you can generate, you can’t make money if you can’t prospect and close. Pricing is discussed in the video above. I can truly say that I would not generate nearly the same amount of traffic and leads without Tribe Pro. More importantly, I would not have as many 1st page rankings on Google which produce residual results. Bottom line….if you are a serious about having online success now and in the future, you are going to need Tribe Pro.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be writing this blog post. Consider it a declaration of intent. The only way you are going to read this is if

Like anything it’s had its ups and downs, but I have continued to reach new heights through consistency and dedication. I know that if I keep showing people what is possible, they will realize that they can do it too…..which brings us to today’s post.
For years now I have endured some serious back pain, while working on my feet for as many as 15 hours in a day in the restaurant biz. Last year I suffered a back injury and that was when I dedicated myself to building this business. Since then I have built a satisfyingly profitable home business using blogging and video marketing as my primary strategies. Leveraging the search engines I am able to get results even when I am doing other things….which is awesome. I had set out to make this my last year working and wanted to break free and quit my job on January first. I was not on schedule as I had hoped, and recently things changed…..I hurt my back again.
So here I am, just as I was eliminating debt, I’m back in the doctor’s office and out of work, and that is why I write this blog post today. See, as mentioned, my goal is to lead by example, to pick other people up by picking myself up. Today I write this article as a declaration of intent to push forward…..harder than ever, to reach my goal of never punching a clock again starting in 2013. I am going to prove that it is not what happens to us, but what we do about it that make the ultimate difference. I am going to turn this injury into a blessing.
As of right now I have an incredible foundation and a growing team and income, but it is time to go all in and make the push. I decided four days ago that I am going to create 40 pieces of content over the next 30 days, and I want you to come along for the ride. If you want to create content with me let’s do it. If you want to watch along to build belief and realize what is possible then that’s cool too. Bottom line is this, 60 days from now, when all this content has made its way around the web and planted itself all over the search engines I am going to be a 40-50 lead a day guy, and magical thi
ngs are going to happen.
I wrote this blog post for a series of reasons. One, to make this declaration holds me more accountable to everyone. If you are serious about achieving big things, you have to get out there and announce them to the world. Two, I want to inspire you. I want you to realize that anything is possible and that your dreams are just a series of action steps away. I am going to show you that the key to freedom is just a declaration of intent followed by massive unwavering action. Lastly, I want to offer guidance for those that want to start a similar action plan right now. Whether is one piece of content a week, or one a day, if you want to implement a similar strategy, but don’t know where to start just contact me via email or Facebook and I’ll guide you. It’s time to put the “work” back in work from home and make some magic happen.
