A funded proposal may be exactly what your business needs. Do you ever feel like no one wants to know about your business? Every time you try and discuss your opportunity with someone it’s like you can see their walls go up. Don’t worry we have all been there. This is where a funded proposal comes in. Everyone gets pitched on things everyday….especially online. We have spam blockers, pop up blockers, and it still can’t stop the endless barrage of ads coming our way. For this reason people have their guard up, and the last thing they want to hear about is how great your business opportunity is. Online network marketers use a funded proposal to get in the door so to speak. This presents an opportunity to build a relationship with your prospect and eventually introduce them to your network marketing opportunity.
So What Exactly Is A Funded Proposal?
Made popular by Mike Dillard in his industry changing book “Magnetic Sponsoring” (Get Free Training From Mike Dillard) a funded proposal is a value packed (usually free) offer followed by a low cost, solution oriented product geared towards your target prospect. Now contrary to what you may have been told by your upline….your aunt Betty is not your target prospect. As a network marketer your target prospect is other network marketers, former network marketers, or people that are open to network marketing. I like to call the group “opportunity seekers.” So in our case, as network marketers, our funded proposal is a low cost item that offers valuable information in the form of a solution to the problems faced by opportunity seekers.
What Will A Funded Proposal Do For My Business
Well for starters a funded proposal will generate leads. Not just any old leads, but laser targeted leads. You will grow a mailing list of opportunity seekers who are already interested in network marketing, and have lowered their boundaries thanks to the value you have provided them. Secondly a funded proposal will generate cash flow for your business through commissions from the low priced offer to follow. Third a funded proposal will position you as an expert, as someone who has value in the form of knowledge that can further solve the problems of your prospect. All of this offers an opportunity to build a relationship with your prospect because you led with value, you led with a solution to their problems, you put them first. As you can see, a funded proposal is much different than pitching your business opportunity.
Why Does A Funded Proposal Work So Well?
At the end of the day, “people join people not business opportunities” so it doesn’t matter how great you think your product or comp plan is. You must put the prospect first. You must position yourself as a leader who can help. Only then will your prospect want to know what opportunity you chose, or endorse, and many will want to work with you not because of your company but because of you. This is the power of a funded proposal.

Justice,
Thanks for the killer post. I absolutely love the funded proposal concept. It, does not, however, work without traffic. What are you doing to drive traffic to your funded proposal? I’d love to hear your insights.
P.S- I found Justice on the MLSP leader boards. He is a leader and knows what he’s talking about. 🙂
